5.4 Palletization. Palletization when specified (See 6.2) webbing packed as specified in
5.2.1, and 5.2.2, shall be palletized on a 4-way entry pallet in accordance with load
type 1a of MIL-STD-147. Pallet types shall be type I (4-way entry), type IV, or type V in accordance with MIL-STD-147. Pallets shall be fabricated from wood groups I, II, III, IV of MIL-STD-731. Each prepared load shall be bonded with primary and secondary straps in accordance with bonding methods C and D or film bonding method F or G of MIL-STD-147. Pallet pattern shall be in accordance with the appendix of MIL-
STD-147. Interlocking of loads shall be effected by reversing the pattern of each course.
6. NOTES

6.1 Intended use. The webbing is intended for use in parachute construction.
6.2 Acquisition requirements. Acquisition documents should specify the following:
a. Title, number and date of this specification. b. Class number (see 1.2).
c. Issue of DODISS to be cited in the solicitation, and if required, the specified issue of individual documents reference (see 2.1.1 and 2.2)
d. Color required (see 3.3)
e. Selection of applicable levels of packaging and packing (see 5.1 & 5.2)
f. Special marking (see 5.3)
g. When palletization is required (see 5.4)
6.3 In order to satisfactorily manufacture webbing when dyeing is required, it may be necessary to yarn dye the material. Manufacturers are urged to make experimental dyed webbings before making commitments to produce such materials in volume.
