4.3 First Article Inspection. The first article shall be subject to the
inspections in 4.4.1, 4.5, and the tests in 4.6 and 4.8.
4.4 Quality Conformance Inspection. The inspections and tests comprising
quality conformance inspection are identified in paragraphs 4.4.1, 4.5, and
4.6.1.
4.4.1 Magnetic Particle Inspection. Each hook and apex shall be magnetic
particle inspected using methods of MIL-I-6868 and accepted or rejected using
criteria of AA-STD-1.
4.4.2 Sampling
4.4.2.1 Inspection Lot. A lot shall consist of all nets made of the same
materials, components and essentially under the same conditions and offered for
acceptance and delivery at one time.
4.4.2.2 Test. For testing per para 4.6.1, a random sample of nets shall be
selected from each lot in accordance with MIL-STD-105, inspection level S-2.
The acceptance quality level (AQL) shall be 4.0.
4.5 Inspection. The net shall be visually and dimensionally inspected for
the defects listed below.
4.5.1 Completed Net Assembly. Materials and components shall be visually
and dimensionally inspected in accordance with all the requirements of refer-
enced specifications, standards, and drawings. Inspection shall be in ac-
cordance with MIL-STD-l05, inspection level II. AQL. shall be 1.0 for major
defects and 6.5 total defects per hundred units. Characteristics and classi-
fication of defects shall be as follows:
