Contractor shall mark the National Stock Number (NSN) and the Contract Number on the shipping label.
5.4 Acceptance criteria. Material from lots, in which test data show any deviation from the requirements set forth in the material specification, shall be unacceptable for use in the fabrication of parachutes.
5.5 Lot numbers. The lot numbers used in the manufacture of end items will be furnished by the contractor when the Government is performing final inspection. The use of lots that have not been approved by the Government may result in rejection of the end item.
5.6 Verification testing. When verification testing of textile material samples is to be performed by the Government, the samples along with a copy of the contractor's certified material test reports will be furnished by the QAR to the facility designated by the procuring activity. Each sample shall be identified as follows:
a. Contractor's name and location.
b. Contract number(s) and/or purchase order number.
c. Manufacturer's name and lot number of the material.
d. Material specification number, type and/or class number. e. Total quantity (yards) of material in the lot represented.
f. The number of end items to be produced from the lot.
