COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
LINK ASSEMBLY, CONNECTOR, SEPARABLE
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this
commercial item description as a preferable replacement for
MS22002-1 for all federal agencies.
1.
SCOPE.
1.1 This commercial item description covers a separable steel
connector link, of conventional type, used by U.S. Army riggers to
connect a parachutist's risers to parachute canopy suspension
lines.
2.
CLASSIFICATION.
The connector links shall conform to the
following types (see 3.2.1 and 7.1).

CHARACTERISTICS.

3.1 Materials. Materials shall be of the high quality used by
the manufacturer in his standard commercial products for parachute
hardware, provided that the completed item complies with all
provisions of this document (see 5.1).
